Animal Cell that splits open (zip-Datei)
This medium provides printing and assembly guidance for a 3D-printable animal cell model designed for interactive and hands-on learning. It is recommended to print different parts of the cell in different colours to improve visual distinction of cellular structures. Depending on printer quality, layer heights of 0.10 mm, 0.15 mm, or 0.20 mm can be used; for smaller parts, a layer height of 0.10 mm is advised. The model uses magnets to hold the organelles in place. During printing of the lower cytoplasm, the print must be paused twice to insert magnets: first for the nucleus and second for the remaining organelles. Magnets can also be inserted into the nucleus by adding a print pause after the magnet holes are completed. To ensure reliable attachment, the organelles can be printed using metal-filled filament, allowing them to be attracted by the magnets. This approach supports stable assembly and handling of the model, even though it results in uniform colouring of the organelles. This zip file includes: Animal-Cell-Test.stl, Ribosomes.stl, Nucleus.stl, Nucleus-magnets.stl, Mytochondrium.stl, Cytoplasm-Upper.stl, Cytoplasm-Lower.stl, Cytoplasm-Lower-magnets.stl, Centriole1.stl, Cell-Membrane-Upper.stl and Animal-Cell.f3d.
